Investment strategist, Dr. Marc-André Pépin, holds credentials of CAIA and CFA, with extensive experience in the investment realm. The Canadian-Swiss CEO and businessman is based in Switzerland and internationally, with professional and educational experience across the globe.
Dr. Pépin is a director at Polaris Financial Investments, in Polaris, we identify and deliver exceptional private credit opportunities in companies with strong fundamentals. These companies can benefit from our partnership approach and our managers’ proven, principled investment processes.
Previously Dr. Marc-André Pépin served as Vice President at JP Morgan & Co. in London and New York, managing their investments and asset allocation. He went on to serve as CEO of Real Value Management, helping the company rank in the top 2% of Bloomberg’s fund universe and innovate in the active management of Yield Enhancement strategies.
Further experience includes working as Senior Portfolio Manager for both Clariden-Leu Bank and LGT Capital Management. Working closely with investment managers and decision- makers, he helped companies see measurable growth in their performance. Maintaining key relationships in the professional world has proved important to his career in investments and client acquisition.
In 1986, during his time studying Industrial Engineering at Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal, Dr. Pépin was ranked first for academic results at a collegial level. He then went on to earn his MBA in Finance at Imperial College London with a scholarship from the National Resource Council of Canada, followed by his Ph.D. in Finance & Economics in the United States. His association memberships include AIMR, CAIA and Mensa.
Dr. Marc-André Pépin speaks fluent French, English, German, Spanish and Italian. Currently based in Geneva, he is married with two children. In Switzerland, he established and sponsored an ice hockey league for over a hundred children in need, ranging from ages five to 17. He has additionally sponsored several sports and health-oriented activities.
