philanthropy
Health and wellbeing have always been an important part of Marc’s personal life, which has inspired much of his philanthropic work.
As an avid ice hockey fan and former player of the sport, Marc decided to set up a team for his local community in the Terre-Sainte region outside of Geneva, Switzerland where he lives. Since its inception in 2007, the USTS HC, nicknamed Les Renards (The Foxes) has grown to nearly 120 players aged between five and 15 years old.
The team aims in building a sense of community for local children and young people, while standing by its values of fair play, cooperation, wellness, community integration and friendship, with a zero-tolerance policy on violence, cigarettes, alcohol and drugs.
In 2016, Marc, through his company Invescap SA, sponsored the Swiss Sailing Team during their time at the Rio Summer Olympics. Through the company he has also provided donations, sponsorship and support to the national Rugby Team of Switzerland providing the team with rugby balls and the rugby strip. He also donated to the steamboats on Lake Geneva to help in their restoration.
Marc has run over 50 marathons around the world from London and Berlin to Boston and Tokyo – to name a few – through which he has raised a considerable amount of money for a number of different charities.
